"I don't know if my case is boring or not but if you ever decide to look into it further then I'll be glad to give you all the details from my point of view. I promise that I'll give you the story all the way live and raw without a single detail left out. All I want is for people to know what goes on in the mind of a serial rapist, what drove me to where I am today, what women can do to avoid being raped and what women shoud do if ever confronted by a rapist. Finally someone will hear what I've got to say about why I did what I did and what led up to those string of events that caused me to lose my stability and go on a rampage."

Meet Reggie. Or maybe you'd rather not. With almost half of his 39 years of life spent behind bars for sexual assaults, Reggie is a self admitted convicted serial rapist. Sentenced to a 20 year prison sentence in 1991 for first degree rape, Reggie is released after spending almost 14 years behind bars. Eleven months later and after a series of more brutal rapes in West Baltimre, he is quickly labeled as The Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard Rapist. Shocking and unbelievably honest, Reginald boldly opens up to the author revealing not only why he became a rapist but what women can do to avoid becoming a victim of rape as well as THE REAL on what to do if confronted by a rapist.

Bold. Raw. Uncensored. "Until I get Caught- The True Story Of A Serial Rapist In Baltimore" is Real Life Production's finest masterpiece in all true "Reality Writing."

Until I Get Caught The True Story Of A Serial Rapist In Baltimore eBook Tia Lincoln

I'm conflicted about this book but ultimately gave it three stars because it is unique in the field of criminology. Essentially it is the first hand account of a rapist telling why and how he rapes' there is a lot of self-pitying (he says he rapes because women didn't like him) and justification. Like most criminals he lacks empathy and is trying to play the system, in this case the reader. I think a better book would have included more context on the victims and crimes, not just his side of the story. But, on the otherhand, I've never read a direct account of a rapist, it is like you are sitting down with him to interview him. He is sick and unlikable but I guess this is the ultimate warning, there there are true nutcases out there the system will never cure. So, it is eye opening and sobering.

Until I Get Caught The True Story Of A Serial Rapist In Baltimore eBook Tia Lincoln Reviews

Tia L. Lincoln is an investigator, a reporter, and a writer/biographer in her role as a Reality Writer. She has published a number of books - 'Child of Baltimore', 'Junkie - A True Baltimore Story', 'The Lady Who Chained Her Baby Tot The Bed', 'Maryland's Most Notorious Murders 1990-2008', and now 'UNTIL I GET CAUGHT - THE TRUE STORY OF A SERIAL RAPIST IN BALTIMORE' - all under the auspices of her own publishing house REAL LIFE PUBLICATIONS. It is a daring deed and these are terrifying stories. Perhaps one of the reasons that motivated Lincoln to publish these books is the amazing success of Reality Shows on television the public seems to hunger after the secrets of others while shielding their own.

In this very raw and challenging book Lincoln shares the confession of one Reginald Williams (Reggie), a self admitted convicted serial rapist in Baltimore, Maryland who became known by the moniker "The Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard Rapist." Lincoln uses interviews she had with this man to tell us his childhood problems, his feelings of alienation from his peers, the repeated sexual assaults he suffered at the hands of his male friends, the fall into drug addition, alcoholism, and theft, caring so little about himself that he appeared to all the senses to be a filthy homeless person, a teenage lad arrested multiple times, and finally his incarceration for brutal rape. He spent fourteen years in prison, absorbing all the atrocities that occur there. Upon his release he had the inability to form any semblance of a relationship with a woman (his childhood experiences taught him to fear and ultimately loathe women, desiring to force them into situations of degradation for both himself and the victim, ending the confrontations with rape). And yet after spending that much of his life incarcerated, upon release he, in eleven months, performed enough brutal rapes to be once again imprisoned (the time when he earned his title listed above).

The saving grace of this biography is the manner in which Lincoln utilizes Reggie's confession as a means to instruct women on how to avoid rape - a series of well considered ideas that should be helpful, coming from a man who understands the motivations behind this atrocious crime. Lincoln at no time alters the language of the interviewee we are asked to walk through some fairly potent words, expressions, descriptions, and foul language to get through this book. But without this approach the book would probably not have the impact of the hard fist to the gut or groin this book has. For example 'Having sex with these women is not what I would get off on. I would get off on their fear of not knowing whether they would live or die. Also everything I asked or demanded them to do, they would do. That's total control even if it is fake. But in my world, it's real. Their fear was my reality. The courage to do it came from (1) alcohol, (2) all the hurt I had inside, (3) my appetite for fear and perversion, and (4) knowing that when I get her to the rape site, I can do whatever I want to her.'

There are problems with spelling and grammar and sentence structure etc that could use the assistance of a good editor, but those elements are mendable Tia L. Lincoln has taken on all aspects of her drive to reveal these terrifying stories to the public and she is definitely doing a service. Read with some extra oxygen around because this is very raw, emotionally charged material. Grady Harp, October 10
Tia Lincoln typically tells the stories out of West Baltimore that normally wouldn't make it past an editor's desk.

The REAL stories.

But in this book, Lincoln let's West Baltimore's Martin Luther King Boulevard Rapist take the reins and tell the "why" behind his crimes.

His reasons aren't all that suprising; they're your typical "oh whoa is me" execuses. And his attitude is arrogant, braggadocio, and whiny.

Does he provide anything useful? In the last chapter, absolutely.

Do I recommend it? It all depends on how much stomach you've got for graphic details and arrogance. I personally think the story would have been a very interesting one told from a true-crime-like angle versus the real-life method used.

So why do I give this book five stars? Because it's a story that's about as true as it gets.

I may not LIKE the truth, but it's fact nonetheless. AND it is different. For those things, UNTIL I GET CAUGHT deserves a high rating.

A caveat for those who are offended by foul language or harsh slang words and those who are opposed to just one side of the story, this book isn't for you.

As the cover says, it's "Bold. Raw. Uncensored." There are no better words to describe it.

Even if you think UNTIL I GET CAUGHT isn't for you, I strongly encourage you to check out Tia Lincoln's other books. She's telling the stories that, without her, you'd probably never hear.
I am thankful that she has done a book to help us out when a rapist is on a rampage. now we have a idea on how they think and now wat to do. think u so much. god bless
This book reminded me of a book by Nick Pron on the Schoolgirl Murderers Karla Homolka and Paul Bernardo. Pron was accused of actually watching the tapes Bernardo made of the rape and murder of two 15 year old girls. It is more than obvious that he did, because of the highly detailed play-by-play narration. The level of detail in that book was repulsive, and read more like a snuff film porno script than anything else.

Until I Get Caught is just as disgusting. I just think it is wrong to use detailed accounts of rapes as a hook for the book. Reggie is a 100% scumbag of the highest order, and is like all sex offenders not treatable. There is only one cure for them, and that is a bullet to the back of their heads. This book should convince you of that.
Being from Baltimore I really wanted to like this book, but it was just okay nothing special about it.
