Aya Morningstar is a relatively new author for me and I really like her work. Her paranormal romances are very good. She knows how to reach out and grab you and keep you interested in the book until the very end. You are so absorbed into the book you do now want to put it down. Nothing like a book where the male shifter doesn’t know that he has cub/baby till a few years after the fact. Makes for awesome reading and wishing you were in the female’s place. This is a book that you do not want to miss. This book was a pleasant surprise. I expected romance and some suspense, but I also got some humor. The voice of the lion was funny. I had not read the book before this one. It was not necessary, but would have helped to make this one a little easier to understand and given background as to the larger story. I will be reading the first one and hopefully others in this series.
So disappointing. After reading all the 5 star reviews, I have to wonder if I was reading the same book. I got bored pretty quickly but told myself it has to get better. I made it as far as chapter 15 and gave up. Something about the way the story was being written. I didn't feel there was any connection between the two main characters at all. Not worth the money on my part, I wish I had read the sample before downloading.
Lion Fur The Baby by Aya Morningstar is a fun read. Ms Morningstar has given us a well written book. The characters are out of the world, I love them. Demian's character is hysterically funny when his inner lion speaks. Allison and Demian's story is fast paced with lots of action, suspense, humor and sexy bits. I enjoyed Lion Fur The Baby and look forward to reading more from Aya Morningstar in the future. Lion Fur The Baby is book 2 in the Shift Squad Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
I really wanted to give this 5 Stars but I could not because in the first 5-6 chapters the author put a different characters name in instead of the hero several times. The name Haller when referring to Demian. That was a big mistake and there were also typos.
But, I can say that the storyline was a really good one. Demian was a fantastic hero. He was a lion shifter and a part of the Shifter Squad. Allison was ideal for him. She was very strong, passionate and courageous.
I look forward to the 3rd book in this series.
Good story overall. Loved the strong characters and the great and dramatic action, though it was a bit far fetched, I thought, at times.
I loved the character of Allison, a human, who recognized, but did not understand, the mating urges for her and Damien. I thought they were dynamic together. But, alone she was a force to be reckoned with. She was a wonderful and protective mother to her cub. She hung in for two years waiting and hoping for her mate to come back for her and the child he didn't know they had.
I think you will like this story.
I loved Demian and Allison's story. Allison is in danger from the Dragons hitmen. Demian is sent in to secure the humans. One look at Allison, he knows he has found his mate. When danger is so high and all of their lives are on the line, Demian will send Allison away to protect her.
It was only supposed to be for a short time, but two years later they will finally make their way back to each other. The story has a happily ever after and no cliffhanger. This can be read ad a standalone. The writing is really exciting. Thus book has it all sex, romance, mates, babies, drama, action, and lots of humor.
Allison watches a video of a dragon shifting and now has assassins after her. Demian is a lion shifter and ex Navy SEAL. He is sent to retrieve Allison but his lion knows she's his mate. To keep her safe, she must go into hiding without Demian.
Two years later, she is raising their son alone and has told everyone he is on a mission. Demian has looked for a year for Allison but her handler was killed and his house blown up. In the ashes they find usb drive. Now he's going to find his mate and settle down. He is on for a surprise when he learns he has a son. But assassins have followed them and he'll do anything to keep them safe.
A little confusing at first. Doesn't give enough info about video of dragon shifting. Lions, dragons and bears. Oh my! Might need a cold shower after reading this.
